Pikala is a project in favour of bicycle development
and bicycle integration

“Bicycles are an ideal & environmental friendly way to navigate through Marrakech for both residents and visitors.
Pikala coordinates bicycle activities, training workshops for young locals to learn how to repair
and maintain bicycles while visitors can rent a bike for a day.”

Pikala runs a bicycle training center for teens and young adults to learn how to restore, repair and maintain a wide variety of bicycles. We also invite artists to work with children towards ‘pimping’ their bicycles to raise the appeal of cycling.

Bicycles provide cheap & clean alternatives to scooters in the narrow streets of the Medina and remains popular throughout the modern city as there are no hills. By improving supply and maintenance, Pikala aims to promote the use of bicycle as a widely accessible & viable urban alternative to motorised transport.

Bicycle projects in Marrakech

Alongside the training workshops we organize bicycle tours for locals, bicycle donations to school and our proud of our first big partnership with the Marrakech Biennale: Visitors to this year’s contemporary art festival are invited to use our customized bicycles to reach the venues scattered around the red city.

Bicycle rent-out

Enjoy the absolute serenity of freewheeling along the gentle cobbled slopes of the medina and help Pikala promote bicycle usage, maintenance and sustainability for all in Marrakech.

Alongside training workshops, Pikala also offers bicycle tours for locals and bicycle donations to schools. Discover Marrakesh on two wheels and this worthy cause, generating Eco-Miles for their projects, every mile of the way.
