Bike and Saddle Family Hosted Stays

A number of our trips have been adapted to offer an experience of staying with a local Bike and Saddle host family, as part of our unique custom designed Family-Stay Program, and run on a seperate but parallel track from our usual tour itineraries.

The concept
Sometimes the most affordable and rewarding experiences can be found when staying with a local family, and for many of our guests, the opportunity represents a richer travel experience. Bike and Saddle partners with exceptional people and families to bring you a home-stay experience that very often stands out and is remembered long after returning home.

Our families and friends are generally people who enjoy the finer things in life and by offering a home stay opportunity for our guests, offer their homes and hospitality freely. They will be waiting for you at the end of your day to listen and share with you the 'thrills and spills' of a typical B&S day and through the shared experiences likely become your friends for a lifetime.

How does it work?
Bike and Saddle goes out of its way to find a host family that will be a mutually rewarding experience for both the family and our guests. We typically ask our guests beforehand a range of questions, from whether they like animals to their hobbies and interests and we ensure we pair them with a family and a home they would want to call their second home once experienced.

Most of our journeys take-up a full day's activity, with group dinners and activities well into the evenings. In the end our guests and host families will most often have only the mornings over breakfasts to meet-up and share experiences. Typically, guests stay two nights at a time with a particular family, before departing for a next home encounter enroute of the tour.

Our host families are located on some of the most breathtaking scenic routes along the way, and we ensure the same comfort, luxury and variety that is already the trademark of our usual five star, luxury hotel tours. Host families have been carefully vetted and ensure a vacation filled with additional laughter, intelligence and warmth. They will pamper you, make sure you are comfortable and pack you a snack box, wether you ask for it or not!
