Cape Town South Africa - Content Manager (Tourism)

Our Company is looking for a fit, dynamic manager to head up our Tour Marketing & Business Operations in Southern Africa, reporting to the MD. The ideal candidate will have past/present international experience in the tourism industry having lived and worked abroad (preference to individuals having lived or worked in the United States and/or Europe) as part of their experience, with a particular bent towards activity oriented tourism both in Southern Africa and Europe. You should be a qualified manager (both in training i.e. management degree and experience) with exceptional proven people skills (management and team leadership) and an ability to develop and articulate the company's tour content on a variety of platforms to a discerning international travel market. Your program responsibility is aimed at ABC1s residing primarily in the USA, Germany and Spain, with high disposable incomes who are looking to experience an activity based holiday in Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands without compromising on comfort and quality and prefer a more intimate group travel experience.

Minimum skills requirement:
- Business Management Degree with Information Technology concentration, making Dean’s list for at least your final study year (or equivalent performance excellence)
- In addition to English, Spanish and German fluency a must
- Computer skills: a knowledge of Visual Basic.Net, Fireworks, PhotoShop, Flash, Microsoft Excel, Dreamweaver, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, Windows, C++ and - Microsoft SQL, highly desirable
- Administrative: familiar with the various functions of office management, including use of Microsoft Office
- Technical: proficient with Web software, design and development
