1. Part Time Bicycle Tour Guide Position - Durban KZN and Cape Town

We're looking for experienced (qualified) guides to join our team in Durban and Cape Town, on a part time basis. We can offer a 3 to 6 month position with something more permanent hereafter. Please forward a short resume and motivation. Ideally you're between 28 and 33 years of age, knows Durban and KZN or Cape Town and The Western Cape like the palm of your hand, skilled in bicycle repair and maintenance, a seasoned cyclist with a number of bike tours under your belt and you can start immediately. Own transport (car), mobile phone, laptop computer and bike tools, essential. Working weekends and after hours, public holidays including Christmas, New Year and other religious holidays, should not be an issue for you. References essential. Remuneration will depend on the aforegoing.

2. Bike and Saddle Internship 2011/12 - Cape Town

Bike and Saddle is looking for a suitable and dynamic intern to assist with our operations in 2011/12. As Africa's leading active travel company, Bike & Saddle is the ideal place for an internship, giving one exposure to the global travel market and considerable experience in administration, management and the logistical operation of our trips.

This internship will run for 3 - 6 months and will be based in Cape Town, though it will involve occasional travel to some of South Africa's most sought after properties and game reserves, where Bike and Saddle is launching its eco-active excursions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about travel and the hospitality business with a thirst for adventure. HeShe must also enjoy being active and be comfortable on a bicycle as the job may involve such activities. No two days in our office are ever the same and interns will be required to write copy, formulate web design and support our guides on journeys!

Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal skills - ability to write copy and communicate with guests essential
- Experience in web and graphic design preferred
- Knowledge of PHP (development) and HTML preferred
- Fluency in English and another language (preferably GermanSpanishFrenchDutch)
- Knowledge of Google ad words and Social Networking (e.g. FacebookTwitter)

This position is full-time (i.e. 5 days a week) with regular but flexible hours, available immediately and will run for 6 months. Work may include travel in and around Cape Town. Interns will be provided with a car - and a stipend will be discussed. We are happy to assist with accommodation and other arrangements.
