"We stayed 3 nights and found Cactusberry Lodge ideal for its location - easy walk down through the main park into the City Centre. The house was beautifully decorated and quietly situated. The splash pool, though small, was refreshing and the garden/sun deck a tranquil oasis from the bustle of town. Barbara treated us with a wonderful finely cut fresh fruit salad every morning and an ample breakfast buffet as well as choice of cooked breakfast. The room was spotless, the bathroom impeccable and the communal lounge welcoming with books, TV and well - stocked Honesty Bar. We couldn't have asked for more. A lovely home in a beautiful city with very helpful and friendly staff." - Tilly, from Cambridge (UK) read more...

"Christine and her friendly staff made staying at the Lion's Kloof Lodge a real pleasure. The location is a quiet tree-lined street right under Table Mountain, very convenient for Kloof Street bars and restaurants, for the town centre and for the fantastic beaches on the other side of Kloof Nek pass at Clifton and Camp's Bay. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, ours had a super balcony overlooking the pretty garden and pool. Breakfasts on the patio are generous and very tasty. Christine helped us to plan our activities in Cape Town and her recommendations were always 'spot on' ... on the last night she reserved a table for us at The Africa Cafe with its super ambiance, delicious 'communal feast' and the charming 'singing waitresses'. We unreservedly recommend Lion's Kloof Lodge as a great place to stay in Cape Town." - Mike, from Bath (UK) read more...

"I have been frequenting Mountain Manor now for the past ten years when travelling to Cape Town on business. It is a home away from home and have had many many pleasant experiences at the guest house. I have become a part of the family and could not imagine staying in a "commercial" hotel ever again. The ambiance and "invisable" but active staff make a stay very comfortable. I have recommended this as a stop over for many a family friend and colleagues wishing for that VIP feeling. The pub holds many fond memories and the place that great friends were made." - Peter, from Johannesburg (RSA) read more...
