Day 1 - Windhoek & Katutura Community Experience
Day one in Windhoek is time to relax and get familiar with your bike, trip leaders and this bustling, cosmopolitan city. Stately buildings range from the home of Namibia’s parliament, to the newly founded Hero’s Acre. Explore the local community of Katutura, and visit the museum if time allows.

Day 2 - Gamsberg and Rooisand
Leaving Windhoek it’s a short transfer to the Khomas Hochland at the top of the Kupferberg pass for the start of today’s cycling.
We transfer to the top of Gamsberg pass, rolling by the 3rd highest mountain in Namibia with views stretching for 100’s of km’s over the horizon, giving us a first glimpse of the desert scenery that will be our companion for the next 7days. We cycle past Hartman’s Mountain Zebra and eventually break camp at the oasis of Rooisand for our first night under the Namib stars.

Day 3 - Solitaire & The Namib Naukluft Park
Today’s cycle from Rooisand takes us close to Guab pass and on to a famous lunch stop at Solitaire before continuing to Sesriem area and the iconic Sossusvlei. Tonight we have dinner under the stars near, lights out early in preparation for tomorrow’s sunrise ride.

Day 4 - Dune 45 & Sossusvlei
Climb up Dune 45 for a superb view of the Tsaucab River Canyon while breakfast is served at the bottom of the dune. After breakfast we undertake a short 25km bike ride between the dunes and then go for a 2 hour walk at Hiddenvlei or Deadvlei. We stop for lunch at Sesriem camp.A short transfer will bring us home to Solitaire area and our guest farm where the luxury of the swimming pool and or a hot shower awaits. Don’t miss the cheetah interaction before dinner – one of Africa’s most splendid animals.

Day 5 - Naukluft & Swakopmund
After a restful night at Solitaire and the prerequisite Solitaire breakfast, we head for the remote Gaub and Kuiseb Pass, home to Ostrich, Springbok and Gemsbok.
After a truly spectacular breakfast we mount our trusty steeds for what will be our last morning in the Naukluft Park. We are heading for the West Coast town of Swakopmund, but not before passing through Walvisbay and the lagoon to view some flamingos.

Day 6 - Swakopmund @ Leisure
Today we offer a number of optional activities. If you feel like Quad Biking or Sand Boarding or Sky Diving or signing up for the Dolphin Cruise – then just fill out the booking form with your Bike & Saddle Trip Leader. If you do not feel adventurous you can do shopping or visit the Crystal Gallery, Museums or the Aquarium by foot. Or join us for a bit more cycling along the salt roads.

Day 7- Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe
We depart Swakopmund after an early breakfast and onwards through the amazing moon landscape and the largest and oldest 1500 year old Welwitchia Mirabilis plant yet discovered. Our tour is nearing its end, not a very nice prospect, but we’ve left some of the best for last! The Spitzkoppe (from German for “pointed dome”; also referred to as Spitzkop, Groot Spitzkop, or the “Matterhorn of Namibia”), is a group of bald granite peaks or bornhardts located between Usakos and Swakopmund. The granite is more than 700 million years old and the highest outcrop rises about 1,784 metres (5,853 ft) above sea level. Accommodation: Spitzkoppe Tented Camp

Day 8 - Spitzkoppe to Windhoek
As always, the tour does have to end! After breakfast we offer and optional cycling in the around the Spitzkoppe. At 10am we transfer back to Windhoek, where our amazing cycling trip end and we have to say goodbye. 4 Hour transfer to the capitol.

Note: Prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) per person. Even so we are based in Namibia, the recent swings in the local currency necessitated the conversion to a USD based rate system. This means we don’t change our rates with the swings and can absorb a 2 to 3 point adjustment, up or down, without having to update rates within our partner and guest network. It ensures consistent quality and product availability throughout our product portfolio.
