Day 1 - Cape Point, The Cape Peninsula & Constantia Winelands

We meet after breakfast to savor the very best of the Cape Peninsula on this unique guided cycle excursion. From the top of Signal Hill, take in Lion’s Head and the iconic Table Mountain as well as a bird’s eye view of the Atlantic Ocean. Meander alongside the sea, through Camps Bay, Hout Bay Harbour and on to Chapman’s Peak for a superb lunch spread. In the afternoon, we make our way to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve where we enjoy a guided cycle to Cape Point and a short hike to the historic lighthouse. We then take a stunning drive along the eastern side of the peninsula and visit the African Penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Joint dinner and overnight in Cape Town.

Day 2 - Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens & Table Mountain

We meander through the world-famous Kirstenbosch Gardens and discover a new perspective from the Canopy Walk. We follow the famous Smuts Track to the Table Top, walking through flower-strewn fynbos and past waterfalls and frog-filled streams, enjoying sensational views of Cape Town, False Bay and the city’s surrounding mountain ranges, snow-capped in winter. Reaching the highest point of the mountain, Maclear’s Beacon, the views open up to take in Table Bay and Robben Island, landmarks that guide hikers across the flat-top and to the cable car for an easy way down. We shuttle back to the hotel and the rest of the afternoon and evening is free. Overnight is in Cape Town.

Day 3 - Franschhoek Wine & Ride

Today is a luxury mountain bike tour through the Franschhoek winelands with lots of flexibility. If you want to ride all day, we join you. If you want to meander through town on your bike stopping at galleries and the chocolate factory, that’s also cool. And if you’re a real dirt hound – no worries, we’ll take you single-tracking. Just let us know when you book. After breakfast we leave Cape Town and shuttle to the beautiful wine growing area of Franschhoek (“French Corner”) for a cycle through what is arguably one of the most picturesque villages in Southern Africa surrounded by lush wine estates. The wine tasting and mountain views are unbeatable and a must for those who appreciate the perfect confluence of human creativity and nature’s bounty. Included in the day are up to three estates, wine tasting, a cellar tour or two, chocolate tasting and a gourmet lunch. The rest of the afternoon is free and we join together again for dinner. Overnight in Franschhoek.

Day 4 - Simonsberg Vignerons

Just outside of Franschhoek is a collection of superb wineries, producing some of the country’s most prestigious and regular-award winning wines. Nestled together advantageously on the Northern lower slopes of Simonsberg, they offer a blend steeped in traditional French viniculture and the latest in modern wine-making techniques. The estates are managed by a talented young generation of daring wine makers who are successfully building on the inheritance and traditions of their forbearers.  With names such as Rupert and Rothschild, Noble Hill, Babylonstoren, Backsberg, Anura, Glen Carlou, Vrede en Lust and Plaisir De Merle, the new and the old conspire to bring you an unforgettable kaleidoscope of tastings and wines while cycling from estate to estate traversing a fairy tale landscape with vistas over the Paarl Valley. We cycle from farm to farm and have up to three wine tasting, one or two cellar tours, and a gourmet lunch.  We return to the hotel in the late afternoon and meet again for dinner. Overnight is in Franschhoek.

Day 5 - Devon Valley

Our last day is off the beaten track where the picturesque Devon Valley, in the heart of the Stellenbosch region, offers an exhilarating biking tour with a spectacular wine and gourmet food experience. Hosted jointly with the finest wine estates in the valley, cycling through the vineyards is sheer pedal pleasure and allows riders of all skill levels to explore the scenic back roads of the valley, soak up the awe-inspiring views, and indulge in a memorable wine and food experience. This exclusive trail meanders along a private 20-kilometre, mainly off-road path through the heart of the valley.  The day includes up to three vineyards and a gourmet lunch at one of the region’s top restaurants.  After a leisurely lunch, we shuttle back to Cape Town where the tour ends on arrival.
